Swedish Pentecostal Mission’s Relief and Development Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting Officer (PME&R) Jobs in Kenya


PME & R Officer, 100%

As PME & R Officer, you will work at PMU regional office in Nairobi, Kenya, becoming part of a team today consisting of a Regional Coordinator, heading the office and a Regional Controller.

As PMU recently launched its strategy paper for the years 2016 - 2020, particular attention is given to South Sudan. PMU will pay special attention to strengthening partners and monitor projects in South Sudan, also through being present in the country.

Primary Duties:

  • Together with the Regional Coordinator plan and implement monitoring of programs and projects at partner level in the region
  • Together with the regional coordinator have a particular focus upon South Sudan
  • To provide support and training for local partners in PME & R processes in both South Sudan and partners in Eastern Africa and Horn of Africa
  • Together with the team of the Regional Office prepare the annual overall management-/activity plan for the region
  • To participate in the annual work of updating partner assessments
  • To conduct training and other capacity development activities
  • To participate together with the regional office team, carrying out risk analysis and for PMU partners in the region, related to the whole project cycle according to PMU systems and standardsrisk management of the partner organizations

    Qualifications and competences:

  • Relevant academic studies with a minimum of first degree in areas of development studies, political science or another relevant field
  • At least five years of documented working experiences in program work for a development organization and/or PME & R
  • Recorded knowledge in international development cooperation/humanitarian Aid work
  • Excellent and proven ability
    to communicate in English in speech and writing. Additional language skills, to the vernacular language, is an advantage
  • Previous work experience from any of the countries in the region is an advantage
  • Previous work experience in programs/projects with support from international institutional donors such as ECHO, EuropeAid, UN and other INGOs is an advantage
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) and work with databases is an advantage
  • Previous experience of project administration and management, communication and advocacy is an advantage

    As PME & R Officer at PMU Nairobi Office, you will also continuously coordinate your work with relevant staff at PMU headquarter in Stockholm, Sweden.
