  • The Georgetown University Center for Global Health Practice and Impact (CGHPI) serves countries to improve their population health and well-being and to safeguard against health-related threats by advancing the use of evidence and human-centered enterprise architecture on the path towards achieving equity and social justice.

  • To achieve this mission, we catalyze the uptake, spread, and implementation of innovations; triangulate data from different sources, and tailor visualization of the information for each audience; design and implement integrated service delivery models; support communities of practice to inform policy and practice through efficient data use and horizontal and vertical collaboration; disseminate best practices and evidence globally through open source learning networks; build global, collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and inter-professional networks; undertake research that is informed by local needs; and invest in local leadership to own, provide oversight, and sustain implemented interventions.

  • The CGHPI in partnership with the Kenya National AIDS Control Council (NACC), is supporting the implementation of the Local Innovations Scaled Through Enterprise Networks (LISTEN) process to enhance delivery of HIV and other Health services in Kiambu and Homa Bay Counties.

  • This innovative process supports communities of practice to catalyze innovation and successful problem solving across all levels of the health system, utilizing human centered design and continuous review of relevant data.

  • To support these activities at the community level in Kiambu and Homabay, the CGHPI seeks support consultants to work in partnership with NACC.

    What We’re Looking For

  • Support Consultants who will provide assistance to the County Technical Working Group (TWG) in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the LISTEN process.

    The Support Consultants will undertake the following in support of NACC-led activities:

  • Contribute to the review and update of the stakeholder mapping/analysis and defining of County specific Communities of Practice and Boundary Partners/touch points for each level;

  • Support the organization and coordination of meetings, trainings and activities at County level;

  • Identify naturally existing Communities of Practice, structures and programs/resources that the County LISTEN Model can leverage on;

  • Support in the development and review of the tools for the process;

  • Collect and analyze data and prepare reports in formats that can be accessed and utilized by the Community of Practice at different levels;

  • Support, development and updating of Community of Practice Charters;

  • Coordinate capacity building of the Communities of Practice based on the training needs identified;

  • Coordinate and Conduct Participatory Monitoring
    and Evaluation across the levels of the model;

  • Documentation of the process, report writing and reporting during the relevant meetings;

  • Updating the relevant databases and documentation of LISTEN activities including the LISTEN logs;

  • Provide complete and detailed handover documents for seamless continuity of the LISTEN model within the assigned County;

  • Collaborate with the CIGPH and NACC staff on LISTEN design for enhancements to the assigned LISTEN model within the assigned County;

  • Collaborate with staff across County Departments and NACC Regional Structures in the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation to ensure quality work and successful implementation of LISTEN model; and

  • Perform other duties as necessary in support of the partnership between NACC and the CGHPI

    Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Community development or a related field;

  • Experience: at least 3 years of relevant professional experience with progressively increasing responsibility, including working with the community.

  • Experience in HIV programming will be an added advantage.
