Sun King Service Center Technician - Solar Jobs in South Africa ;Sun King seeks a qualified Solar Installation Technician to drive adoption of clean energy solutions in South Africa. Responsibilities include site assessment, installation, system activation, maintenance of Solar Home Systems and Inverters, and compliance with South African safety standards.

Responsibilities

Installation & Service

  • Attend installation requests and service queries; schedule efficient service delivery.

  • Identify faults and resolve technical issues with minimal downtime.

  • Conduct planned maintenance for inverters and accessories.

    Quality Assurance

  • Diagnose faults, maintenance and repairs on SHS and Inverters.

  • Ensure work meets safety and quality regulations.

  • Return products to full operational service post‑repairs.

    Training & Knowledge

  • Build training materials and conduct sessions for partners/customers.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of Sun King products and services.

    Customer Service & Dispute Management

  • Deliver comprehensive service to customers; resolve issues effectively.

  • Manage incoming calls/emails; keep detailed records.

  • Process replacements and warranty claims within timelines.

  • Address and resolve disputes; escalate when necessary.

    Drive Operational Efficiency

  • Meet/exceed KPIs including service timelines and customer satisfaction (NPS).

    Documentation & MIS

  • Maintain accurate service records.

  • Provide periodic reports on after‑sales/service performance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Candidate
    Profile

  • National Certificate in Electrical Trades (N3) or equivalent.

  • 3‑phase wireman license an advantage.

  • 3+ years’ solar inverter installation/maintenance experience.

  • Valid Driver’s License required.

  • Proven diagnostic and repair skills.

  • Passion for customer service and issue resolution.

  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit; ability to work independently and in teams.
