Sun King LPG Operations Supply Chain Coordinator Jobs in Kenya;This role oversees supply chain operations underpinning Sun King’s PAYG LPG business in Kenya. The scope spans vendor relationships, safe and efficient product movement, inventory planning across warehouse and depot networks, and lifecycle management of cylinder assets deployed to customers and riders. The role ensures effective loss governance, capital efficiency and compliance with Sun King’s safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

LPG Supply Management

  • Oversee bulk LPG transportation from vendor facilities to refilling points or bulk storage.

  • Ensure safe and timely movement of LPG across the supply network.

  • Monitor real‑time supply flows and stock‑in‑transit visibility.

  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks including transport delays and routing issues.

  • Improve bulk transportation costs and routing efficiency.

  • Verify goods receipt through dual‑weighing and reconcile against vendor dispatch records.

    Inventory Planning & Replenishment

  • Manage inventory flows for cookstoves, cylinders, FMCDs, accessories and LPG.

  • Establish and monitor warehouse and depot stock levels.

  • Develop and maintain safety stock policies.

  • Minimize stock‑outs while optimizing working capital.

  • Coordinate with Sales on demand forecasting and inventory requirements.

    Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Maintain end‑to‑end tracking of deployed cylinders.

  • Improve working capital efficiency by addressing idle or unreturned units.

  • Manage cylinder recertification pipeline.

  • Establish loss and shrinkage governance processes.

  • Maintain consolidated reporting framework covering supply, inventory, vendor SLAs and asset KPIs.

    Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with EPRA licensing and safety requirements.

  • Maintain depot and facility licences, permits and inspection readiness.

  • Uphold cylinder quality standards in line with KEBS requirements.

  • Ensure
    compliance with weights and measures requirements.

  • Establish and audit safety protocols for bulk transportation and last‑mile exchange.

  • Coordinate incident investigations and corrective actions.

    Vendor & Partner Relationships

  • Manage commercial relationships with LPG bulk vendors and supply chain partners.

  • Monitor vendor credit terms and invoicing cycles.

  • Conduct regular vendor SOA reconciliations.

  • Establish and monitor vendor SLAs.

  • Conduct vendor performance reviews and maintain scorecards.

  • Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, credit and volumes.

  • Manage vendor risk, diversification and onboarding.

  • Act as escalation point for vendor disputes.

    Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Finance, IT or related field.

  • Experience in LPG, downstream oil & gas or FMCG distribution.

  • Strong project management capabilities and process improvement experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience coordinating cross‑border teams.

  • Strong financial skills and data interpretation capabilities.

  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as EPRA and KEBS.
