Sun King Area Business Manager - Akwa Ibom Jobs in Nigeria;Responsible for managing Energy Officers, driving sales and collections, and expanding Sun King’s direct distribution network in the assigned area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Hire & Retain Energy Officers

  • Recruit, train, and maintain a team of at least 40 Energy Officers.

  • Use multiple avenues, including village influencers, to find suitable talent.

  • Build goodwill and reputation for Sun King’s mission of clean, affordable energy.

    Training of Energy Officers
  • Provide training on sales, collections, product knowledge, technical, inventory, and logistics.

  • Supervise Energy Officers professionally with integrity and ethics.

    Provide Role Clarity
  • Define daily tasks, sales and collections plans, routes, and targets.

  • Ensure Energy Officers can demonstrate products, resolve customer queries, and access support.

    Daily Field Visits
  • Maintain weekly touchpoints with Energy Officers through meetings, calls, or joint sales.

  • Resolve issues and report to the Regional Business Manager weekly.

  • Conduct first five sales with each Energy Officer to ensure process understanding.

    Work with Energy Officers
  • Conduct joint fieldwork and training weekly.

  • Drive engagement through night activations, market visits, and community events.

    Exceed Sales & Collections Targets
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and collection targets.

  • Provide daily and weekly updates on performance and customer issues.

    Drive Robust Field Sales Processes
  • Review collection progress daily and train Energy Officers on effective follow‑ups.

  • Resolve customer issues and repossess systems when necessary.

    Remain Externally Focused
  • Monitor competitors and protect Sun King’s market presence.

  • Ensure Sun King remains a leading solar brand in the area.

    Resolve Customer Issues
  • Deliver world‑class customer service in product delivery, training, installation, and warranty.

  • Establish clear processes to resolve customer issues within 24 hours.

    Control Marketing & Other Spend
  • Provide marketing materials and equipment to Energy Officers.

  • Ensure maximum ROI for marketing, supply chain, and store maintenance costs.

    Review Meetings with
    Energy Officers
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Energy Officers and Regional Business Manager.

  • Recognize outstanding performers and maintain motivation.

    Grow Retail Presence
  • Expand retail network with the help of Cluster Leaders.

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on sales experience.

  • Strong computer knowledge, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Extensive customer care experience.

  • Innovative and able to think outside the box.

  • Skilled in planning, organizing, and prioritizing.

  • Strong relationship‑building skills.

  • Good listening, coaching, and learning discipline.

  • Operational excellence with a focus on customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of the territory is an added advantage.
