Summit Recruitment and Search Regional Compliance Head of Africa (Telecommunication) Jobs in Kenya; The successful candidate will serve as the regional compliance lead, overseeing implementation and effectiveness of compliance and ethics frameworks across African markets. The role covers compliance, ethics training, governance oversight, REIT and legal reporting, and requires strong leadership in managing regional compliance teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee implementation of compliance and ethics frameworks across African markets.

  • Implement global compliance policies, provide Delegation of Authority (DOA) guidance, and oversee risk management and REIT reporting.

  • Develop and deliver compliance, FCPA, and Code of Conduct training for employees and vendors.

  • Ensure compliance provisions are incorporated into third‑party agreements and oversee OFAC/sanctions screening.

  • Lead and coordinate ethics and compliance investigations with legal teams and external advisors.

  • Monitor compliance function performance, establish KPIs, and recommend process improvements.

  • Provide timely compliance advice to internal stakeholders and manage external counsel/service providers.

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the Regional Internal Affairs/compliance team.

    Key Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Law with admission/licensure to practice; postgraduate specialization preferred.

  • Minimum
    5 years’ progressive legal experience, preferably in a multinational organization.

  • Strong understanding of international compliance principles and regulatory requirements.

  • Proven ability to apply legal expertise and commercial judgment to complex business matters.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and conflict‑resolution skills.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies.

  • Strong academic credentials and knowledge of legal/business trends in Africa.

  • Fluency in English; additional African language skills advantageous.
