Summit Recruitment and Search Human Resource Supervisor (Agriculture) - Makueni Jobs in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate workforce planning and recruitment activities, including seasonal hiring, onboarding, and employee database management.

Manage employee relations and welfare matters, including grievances, disciplinary issues, and policy communication.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll information and support payroll processing where required.

Work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and health and safety standards.

Assist in drafting, implementing, and interpreting HR policies, procedures, and the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Manage general HR administration, including employee records, timekeeping, attendance, and benefits coordination.

Prepare and submit monthly and annual HR reports within the required timelines.

Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, 2019 in the handling of employee information.

Communicate and enforce HR policies, safety guidelines, and working conditions across farm and administrative teams.

Counsel supervisors and employees on performance issues and mediate workplace disputes to minimize operational disruptions.

Key Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.

Must be CHRP certified and a member of IHRM.

At least four (4) years

of HR experience, including a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role within a labour-intensive environment.

Strong knowledge of Kenyan employment legislation and HR compliance requirements.

Demonstrable experience handling employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, and employee welfare.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with maturity and discretion.

Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and follow matters through to resolution.
