Job Summary
Manage customer credit accounts, debt collection activities and accounts receivable processes while supporting daily accounting operations and financial reporting.
Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and other institutional customers while maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to healthy cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer credit accounts and monitor outstanding balances.
Follow up on overdue payments and implement effective debt collection strategies.
Prepare customer statements, ageing reports and payment reminder communications.
Negotiate payment arrangements and repayment plans with clients.
Monitor customer credit limits and approved payment terms.
Authorize or recommend release of customer orders in accordance with credit policies and payment status.
Record and accurately allocate customer payments within Odoo ERP or a similar financial management system.
Maintain accurate and updated customer account records.
Prepare weekly debt collection reports, debtor ageing analyses and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) reports.
Drive achievement of collection targets, including recovery of more than 85% of overdue receivables monthly.
Support bank reconciliations and daily accounting activities.
Process supplier invoices and support payment processing activities.
Monitor daily cash positions and support cash flow management activities.
Assist with financial reporting and account reconciliation processes.
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
CPA qualification or ongoing CPA studies will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of accounting systems and ERP platforms such as Odoo is highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum three (3) years' experience in credit control, debt collection and accounting functions.
Experience within a trading, distribution, healthcare supplies or related business
environment is preferred.
Proven experience managing institutional customer accounts including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and corporate clients.
Experience handling accounts receivable, reconciliations and collection performance reporting.
