Summit Recruitment and Search Business Development Executive Jobs in Kenya;

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development plans to achieve sales, revenue, and gross profit targets.

  • Identify, pursue, and acquire new customers across freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and 3PL services.

  • Build and maintain relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, NGOs, retailers, and other key decision‑makers across East Africa.

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations, negotiate terms, and close new business opportunities.

  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, track opportunities through CRM systems, and provide regular sales forecasts and performance updates.

  • Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure smooth onboarding, service delivery, and retention of customers.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities across East Africa while representing the company at relevant industry and networking events.

    Key Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years’ recent experience in business development or sales within an international freight forwarding, logistics, or 3PL company.

  • Experience selling international freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and integrated logistics solutions.

  • Experience handling international freight across air, sea, and road.

  • Knowledge of the logistics market across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Rwanda.

  • Existing network of customers and decision‑makers within the East African logistics and supply chain industry.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales, revenue, and gross profit targets.

  • Willingness to travel within East Africa.
