Summit Human Resource & Marketing Consultant IT Manager Jobs in Kenya;Summit HR & Marketing Consultant is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, data protection and technology operations.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience working in a regulated environment, particularly within banking, insurance, SACCOs, financial institutions or other highly regulated organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, systems, networks and applications.

  • Ensure reliable availability, performance and security of IT systems.

  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures and controls.

  • Ensure IT operations comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.

  • Manage cybersecurity, access controls, data protection, backups and disaster recovery.

  • Monitor and manage IT risks, vulnerabilities, incidents and system disruptions.

  • Coordinate system upgrades, implementations, maintenance and technology projects.

  • Manage IT vendors, service providers, licenses and technology contracts.

  • Conduct regular system and security reviews and ensure issues are addressed.

  • Maintain IT documentation, asset registers and system records.

  • Support internal and external audits with required IT documentation.

  • Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans and coordinate testing.

  • Lead and supervise IT staff, providing technical guidance.

  • Prepare regular IT performance,
    risk and compliance reports for management.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant IT experience.

  • Proven experience working in a regulated environment is a MUST.

  • Experience in banking, insurance, SACCOs, financial institutions or similarly regulated organizations highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management and data protection.

  • Experience supporting regulatory and internal audits.

  • Good understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
