  • Sugar Corporation of Uganda Limited is part of Mehta Group of Companies and one of the leading producers of Lugazi Sugar in the Country.

  • It’s located at 45kms on Kampala – Jinja Highway, just within the vicinity of Lugazi Municipal Council, Buikwe District.

    Qualification

    • B.Sc. (Mechanical) / Higher Diploma – Mechanical

    Relevant Experience

    • 3 to 5 years

    Experience

  • Working as a Steam Turbine Control Room Desk Operator/Engineer in 10 to 30 MW power plant

  • Understand existing control systems for steam turbines

  • Operation, preventive & predictive maintenance of Turbine, All auxiliaries & cooling tower

  • Responsible for smooth startup and shutdown of Turbine

  • Familiar with Cold, warm & Hot Start up procedures

  • Handle the emergencies like black out, Load throw-off and islanding conditions

    Remuneration


  • Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
