Subaru Kenya is the sole franchise holder and exclusive distributor of the Subaru range of motor vehicles and genuine Subaru parts in East Africa.

It is also a division of ECTA (Kenya) Limited.

The Subaru range includes the latest models of Impreza, WRX-STI, Subaru XV, Legacy, Forester, & Outback.

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and self-driven professional to fill in the following position in our Nairobi office:

Cashier

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the job holder will be responsible overseeing cash transactions, cash reconciliations across all branches, account payments, account receivables and other accounting duties according to company policies.

Principal Account-abilities:

Manage cash and cash equivalent efficiently and effectively without loss or variation.

Reconcile sales and receipts and provide reports daily and monthly as per requirements.

Manage petty cash usage effectively and economically.

Provide professional customer service to all customers with cashiering needs; Answer customers’ questions, and provide information on procedures or policies as required

Receive cash and cash equivalents and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.

Daily reporting of sales, banking and cash reconciliations.

Confirm cash custody every morning to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change for the day’s use.

Ensure timely Reimbursement of petty cash

Daily banking of all collections – timely and completeness with special regard to security and safety (non-linear timing for banking)

Daily posting of petty cash – timely, accurately and completeness

Reconcile cash sale and credit sales; report any variances immediately

Reconcile all relevant cash accounts – collection account, M-pesa account, Cash sales and receipts and respective bank accounts.

Ensure all postings (petty cash, receipt, banking slips) are completed – timely, completeness and accuracy

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of CPA Qualifications

Diploma or certificate in business related course

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Excellent communications skills
