State Corporation Manager - Procurement Job Vacancies in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Formulating and reviewing the Procurement Strategy in line with the Public Procurement & Disposal Act, 2005 and Public Procurement & Disposal Regulations, 2006 in order to realize the set corporate objectives and strategic goals.
  • Overseeing the Management of supplier relationship and monitor their performance in terms of quality, service and price.
  • Organizing and managing the solicitation of tenders/quotations process and ensuring that goods, services and works meet the specifications and requirements.
  • Leading Negotiation teams, preparing contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLA) and manage the same with the user departments.
  • Preparing and overseeing the implementation of Annual Procurement Plan and roll out the procurement process.
  • Formulating, reviewing, updating, and monitoring of the Procurement policy.
  • Monitoring all risks related to procurement and ensuring that appropriate controls are implemented to mitigate and eliminate the risks.
  • Preparing progress reports and presenting them to the middle and Senior Management.
  • Convening and providing secretarial services and advise the Tender Committee, Procurement Committee.
  • Undertaking Research on new sources of supply.
  • Preparing and submitting to the Public
  • Procurement Oversight Authority (PPOA) reports required under the Public Procurement & Disposal Act, 2005 and Public Procurement & Disposal Regulations, 2006 and guidelines of the PPOA.
  • Managing, review work performance of staff in the division including their development, training and appraisal.

    Qualifications

  • At least six (6) years of relevant work experience; 3 years experience in management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management or related field.
  • Master's in Procurement or its equivalent form a recognized institution
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Management.
  • Member of Kenya Institute Supply Management.
  • Professional Qualification in CIPS.
  • Thorough understanding of the Public Procurement & Disposal Act and Regulations.
  • Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
  • Proficiency in computer applications
    Demonstrated professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.
  • Compliance with Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya

    State Corporation Manager - Communications Job Vacancies in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Leading in the development and implementation of an engagement plan in order to build and manage relationships and knowledge sharing between the organization and different stakeholders.
  • Identifying and developing mechanisms for the organization to actively participate in activities at the international level.
  • Identifying and evaluating key issues that are discussed at relevant international forums.
  • Responsible for the drafting of speeches, press releases, messages and advertisements for the print and broadcast media, and oversee the organization of media briefings for the Corporation.
  • Analyzing the impact of these issues to Kenya and developing our positions for each issue; liaising closely with relevant experts.
  • Identifying actions to be taken to demonstrate Kenya’s active participation in international fora i.e. meetings and conferences, including presenting papers where necessary.
  • Highlight Corporation’s role at the global level with an aim of projecting the Corporation in positive light.
  • Writing, editing and proof reading communication material to ensure consistency and compliance with corporate branding, value, key messages and style guidelines.
  • Planning and execution of Corporation’s events at both local and international levels.
  • Responsible for coordinating, and organizing all the Corporation’s events.
  • Responsible for the Corporation media contacts database and social platform.
  • Liking business units to relevant key players at the regional and international level.

    Qualifications

  • At least six (6) years of relevant
    work experience; 3 years experience in management.
  • Master’s Degree in Communication or related course from a recognized institution.
  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication or related course from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a member if the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) or Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK).
  • Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Photography skills will be an added advantage.
  • Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Demonstrated professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.

    State Corporation Manager - Management Accounting Job Vacancies in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate management accounts reports as per defined schedule
  • Participate in the annual budget preparation
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of all the cashbooks with the bank statements as per approved procedures
  • Reconciliation of sub ledger and external systems to general ledger; this process involves the reviewing of all module interfaces to determine valid and accurate posting to the general ledger
  • Prepare a timely general ledger month-end closing according to corporate closing schedule
  • Preparation and coordination of the annual audit schedule in preparation for meeting with the external auditor
  • Close the previous fiscal year and establishment of the general ledger accounts for the upcoming
  • Consolidation of budget inputs, administration, monitoring and control of budget allocation
  • Determine the validity of entries and corrections, evaluating variances, and analyzing the effects of transactions on various account relationships
  • Maintain the journal file, ensure all journals are approved before posting and are sequentially numbered
  • Undertake necessary adjustments in the budget as approved by management from time to time
  • Analyze expenditure variances and investigate the causes
  • Participate in maintaining and updating of assets register
  • Participate in ascertaining proper and optimal control systems and monitoring accurate recording of all financial transactions; and
  • Attend and advice for all enquiries on all management accounting related matters

    Qualifications

  • Six years relevant work experience, three of which must be in management position
    Bachelor degree in Commerce or any other Business related field.
  • CPA (K) / ACCA qualifications
    Membership to ICPAK or ACCA certification
  • Chartered Public Accountant – Kenya (CPA-K) / ACCA, Certified financial analyst, investment (research)
  • Member of professional bodies – ICPAK, ACCA, CFA
  • Good understanding of corporate investments.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Compliance with Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya
