Job Purpose

  • To enable the organisation to receive digitised solutions and methods for an allocated portfolio within PBB SA through a structured and seamless process, delivering what matters to customers and staff.

  • To drive Change Management for an allocated portfolio.

    Key Responsibilites

    Delivery of digitised solutions for allocated portfolio

  • Responsible for the end-to-end Change Management of digitised solutions for allocated portfolio across PBB SA, CIB and Wealth

  • Manages close working relationships ensuring adequate involvement, alignment and senior support from the Business Unit (BU) sponsors, Tribes, Squads, Solution Engineering, Digital Banking etc

  • Collates and communicates scope changes and progress on the Change Management of all proposed digitised solutions and methods to relevant business integration stakeholders ensuring with Provincial change teams

    Sensing, business requirements and design

  • Provides input into defined business cases based on benefits informed by customer data and business requirements.

  • Provides validation and input into customer data and business requirements and ensures that input from a user perspective is provided, informing process design, ensuring delivery of what matters to customers and users.

  • Ensures participation by the team in shaping solution design, testing scenarios and scaling of solutions.

    Change and implementation for allocated portfolio

  • Oversees the implementation plans for the various digitised and customer solutions to be scaled ensuring effective training, change management and communications are provided within the required timeframes.

  • Manages escalated issues impacting delivery of digitised solutions and business releases.

  • Responsible for ensuring technical readiness of areas impacted by digitised solution or method.

    Continuous improvement

  • Establishes a working environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement to effectively deploy changes into RBB, Commercial Banking, Group Enabling Functions, CIB and Wealth.

  • Ensures that lessons learnt from scaling digitised solutions are effectively applied and that there is continuous improvement of business readiness practices and approach.

    Stakeholder management

  • Establishes and manages strong relationships with the Business Unit Heads, Tribes, Squads, Feature teams, technical and programme sponsors, Risk and Compliance, Learning and Development, Marketing and Communications, etc. in order to ensure delivery of what matters to customers and the business.

  • Establishes and manages senior leadership relationships across all business areas supported by Business Readiness capability in order to ensure ongoing alignment and business readiness regarding the various releases and methods to be
    scaled.

  • Ensures adequate representation at all forums to ensure senior leadership teams across all business areas are fully apprised of changes and methods to be scaled on an ongoing basis.

    Risk management

  • Identifies and highlights potential risk and compliance issues that may arise as a result of the various digitised solutions and business releases designed based on priority status.

  • Participates in all RCC processes and ensures that business readiness raises any areas of concern that may pose compliance or operational risks.

  • Guides the business and technical teams in identifying and prioritising potential risks as a result of defects resulting from solution development and deployments.

    Technical readiness and deployments

  • Manages the delivery of the technical readiness plan focusing on system readiness including system versions and user provisioning.

  • Manages all technical readiness aspects of deployments including regression testing and business verification.

  • Manages the resourcing plan to ensure successful delivery of deployments including testers, BILs and support staff.

    People management

  • Manages a team to ensure effective delivery of objectives for the area.

  • Develops a high performing team by embedding the bank's performance process, regular performance feedback and coaching. Addresses poor performance.

  • Motivates team members and ensures that they receive recognition for work well done.

    Qualifications

  • Business Commerce degree

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in banking and operational processes.

  • Practical experience in working in a variety of business areas within Personal and Business Banking.

  • Experience within a customer facing, back office and head office environments.

  • Experience in managing multiple client interfaces and dealing with variable issues.

  • Experience in managing a value stream.

  • Understanding of the bank’s various IT systems and system conditions.

  • Exposure to operational and physical risk.
