Standard Bank Infrastructure Lead,Unix and Storage Jobs in South Africa

Job Purpose

Building great teams through acquiring (hiring), training and developing top class technical experts and implement engineering methods, practices, guidelines and frameworks that are defined to continually improve the quality of technical solutions that are delivered.

Key Responsibilites

Responsible for constructing the teams within an area within the practice to build, maintain and support the necessary IT Infrastructure Products and Service

Management of the teams specifically through Performance management and career development to build a high performing culture

Build and improve practice capability to ensure effectiveness against fellow infrastructure leaders

Drives the effective management of the team financials (where applicable) to ensure efficient IT infrastructure costs against operational budgets

Support all Audit, Risks and Compliance requirements to ensure adherence to regulations within your area of responsibility

Manage service availability of the various technology IT Infrastructure Products within the team, including monitoring and maintenance for service uptime

Contributes to IT leadership discussion about the shape and contents of the IT Infrastructure Service portfolio.

Qualifications

Honours

Degree/ Masters Degree in IT and Computer Sciences

Agile Software development and engineering methodologies and associated practices such as Continuous Integration, Software Defined Infrastructure, Evolutionary Architecture, etc.

5-7 Years Solid experience in working in an IT infrastructure environment in any related technology discipline, must have a demonstrable technical background as well.

1-2 Years in Banking industry knowledge covering Personal and Business Banking as well as Corporate Banking; Regulatory and Compliance requirement understanding.
