Job Purpose

  • To be the custodian of the Women’s Banking value proposition -

  • Taking a leading role to achieve the targeted growth and accountable for the overall performance of Women Banking in the Country both financial and non-financial performance.

  • Responsible for communicating the Women’s value proposition and building relationships with the objective of delivering the product.

    Key Responsibilites

    Overall Proposition Custodian

  • Acts as the point of reference in country for Women’s banking, informing, advising, liaising and communicating with relevant stakeholders to implement the value proposition.

  • Implements continuous insights into the pockets of opportunity as relates to women.

  • Develops and implements appropriate action plans to increase market share and revenue to desired level together with the relevant business units of the bank.

  • Drives performance for the proposition by owning the targets set and driving sales through Bank’s Sales Teams.

  • Lead projects relating to the offering of a superior offering in country.

  • Provides Head CHNW & Head BCC with a monthly report on the CVP, including financial results, sales, credit service, etc

  • Ensures a consistent and superior customer experience that is a key differentiator and competitive advantage.

  • Ensures that the solution resonates with the target market and the internal Teams.

  • Monitors and identifies complaint/query trends and develop action plans to address service gaps.

  • Implements, monitors and manages service level agreements, service standards and turnaround times for the country in line with the value proposition.

  • Implements and is accountable for all Service Measures and Survey interventions, including the management of the process and results.

  • Mobilises and engages the Sales people and provide upskilling opportunities

    Sales Attraction and Management

  • Formulates and implements sales plans that will facilitate the sign up of women onto the CVP.

  • Formulates and implements sales strategies for initiatives together with the Business Units.

  • Creates and maintains sales plans per company

  • Ensures whilst working in close liaison with credit that all applications that are submitted to the Bank are processed within the stipulated TAT for Women’s Banking applicants.

    Segment Insight

  • Identifies the needs and requirements of women in different segments including but not limited to the market size, market growth, market shares, market potential for Stanbic Bank, customer profiles and customer profitability.

  • Monitors competitor offerings and activities with the purpose to understand and communicate differentiators.

  • Identifies research projects.

  • Proactively assess market trends, attitudes and aspirations in an effort to anticipate changes and continue to offer appropriate and competitive solutions to a discerning customer base.

  • Develops, enhance and analyses MIS platforms to inform planning and performance management processes.

    Overseeing of Execution

  • Ensures that the CVP is clearly communicated to all stakeholders and that clients receive an efficient and superior service offering through effective implementation.

  • Oversees the adoption and delivery of the value proposition within the Branch network and business units, as well as internally.

  • Ensures that all principles stipulated in the value proposition are met and adhered to consistently. Ensure the ongoing alignment of the value proposition across the country.

  • Ensures local regulatory requirements and Group Standards of compliance are adhered to.

  • Mobilises the various CVP engagements with customers.

  • In conjunction with Marketing, ensures a calendar of events that meets the requirements and ensures adequate levels of visibility in
    the market.

  • Determines selecting, negotiating and signing up prospective Partners required to enhance the proposition

  • Partners with stake-holders for solution enhancements

  • Develops forecasting and budgeting

    Segment Management

  • Drives staff behaviour that results in the acquisition of new clients as well as the continual adding of value to existing clients (increasing sales and financial revenue through cross-selling).

  • Identifies and minimises all operational risks.

  • Plans, initiates and drives sales tactics and activities to meet and exceed annual sales targets

  • Implements action plans to meet targets set for incentive campaigns.

  • Negotiates and collaborates with multiple stakeholders to deliver superior customer solutions.

  • Effectively and timeously attends to customer queries, complaints and escalations.

    Vendor Management

  • Determines the sign-up partnerships/ memorandum of understanding (MOUs) with various vendors for the provision of services to CVP customers, in conjunction with Marketing.

  • Negotiate appropriate discounts for these partnerships to ensure full benefit.

  • Co-ordinates with Legal Department for drafting and renewal of MOUs following sign up of customers.

  • Constantly and continuously review vendors/ partners to ensure that they adhere to agreed terms in signed MOUs particularly the provision of discounts to CVP customers.

  • Manage the termination of MOUs for vendors who do not adhere to the agreed service standards.

    Risk Management

  • Identifies and manages business risks from both a customer and bank perspective by ensuring that appropriate control mechanisms are in place to minimise risk exposure.

  • Continuous review of impairments for all loan products across the Women’s CVP portfolio particularly in key product lines: Unsecured Personal Loans, Home Loans and ensure appropriate recommendations are made to guide growth in less riskier segments.

    Key Performance Measures

  • Identifies and manages business risks from both a customer and bank perspective by ensuring that appropriate control mechanisms are in place to minimise risk exposure.

  • Monitors and continuously reviews impairments for all loan products across the Women’s CVP portfolio particularly in key product lines: Unsecured Personal Loans, Home Loans and ensure appropriate recommendations are made to guide growth in less riskier segments.

    Accountability

  • Ensures full Accountability for the sales, service, credit, risk, compliance, financial and business objectives of Women Banking. Responsible for managing resources (capacity and productivity), meeting operational demands and achieving the required customer numbers in Women Banking.

    Analysis

  • Implements research and analysis of the local market to understand the key business drivers, influences and competitor activity together with Marketing & Communications and Digital Transformation and Innovations Unit, as relevant. Ensures robust end to end process for customer acquisition.
