Standard Bank Group Sector Head, Business Banking (Energy & Infrastructure) Jobs in Kenya;The Energy & Infrastructure Client Franchise Lead will spearhead the sector strategy within Commercial Banking by developing deep expertise, growing a portfolio of commercial clients, and driving sustainable revenue growth while maintaining sound risk management practices. Acting as a trusted advisor, the incumbent will originate and coordinate client‑centric banking solutions, provide strategic insights, and strengthen the bank’s profile across multiple subsectors in Energy & Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Originate, structure, and execute client‑centric banking solutions by coordinating cross‑functional teams.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor and primary point of engagement.

Drive portfolio growth, revenue generation, wallet share expansion, and new business acquisition.

Ensure strong client retention and exceptional client experience.

Maintain effective risk management practices as the first line of defense, ensuring compliance with governance standards and regulatory requirements.

Lead and influence deal teams and stakeholders to deliver complex transactions and negotiate commercial outcomes.

Represent the bank in industry forums and stakeholder engagements, strengthening networks and identifying emerging opportunities.

Provide strategic sector insights, identify growth opportunities, and coordinate execution of the Energy & Infrastructure strategy across multiple subsectors.

Qualifications

First Degree in

Business, Commerce, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 7 years senior banking experience, with at least 5 years in Energy & Infrastructure and demonstrated industry engagement.

Minimum 3 years’ experience managing small teams (up to 5).

Deep knowledge of Kenya’s Energy & Infrastructure sector, including market dynamics, industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape.
