Job Purpose

To support Estate Management and the Team Leader, Administrator in the end-to-end administration process of deceased estates aligned to the specific requirements of the:

• STL Strategy and vision

• Customer value proposition

• Business plan

• Group Reference Guide

• Legislation, as well as

• The values and ethics underpinning all staff within Standard Bank.

Effective execution of the job role will:

• Ensure that the process complies with internal and external regulatory frameworks

• Contribute to efficient and effective systems and processes.

• Enhance the customer services experience and contribute to a lasting relationship with the Standard Bank group.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• To enhance the customer experience in all dealings with current and prospective bank customers.

Compliance Checks

• Experian

• BDS

• Astute

• Stop Account Activity

• EDC Invoice

• Will Request

• Introducer (Chameleon)

• To increase productivity and smooth process flow by executing duties efficiently and effectively.

• Accurate capturing of information is essential.

• To achieve ultimate conformance with the rules and regulations contained in the GRG and regulatory framework.

Deceased Information

• Population Group

• Anti-nuptial contract request

• Will copy (SBImage)

• Windeed Evaluation

• Date of Death

• Updating Consultant Code

• Update beneficiary Contact details

• Heirs contact details

• To increase productivity and smooth process flow by executing duties efficiently and effectively.

• Accurate capturing of information is essential.

• To achieve ultimate conformance with the rules and regulations contained in the GRG and regulatory framework.

Legalease Capturing

• Capture deceased’s personal information.

• Load all assets

• Motor vehicle

• Investments

• Bank accounts

• Policies

• Heirs details

• Surviving spouse’s details, etc.

To increase productivity and smooth process flow by executing duties efficiently and effectively.

• Accurate pturing of information is essential.

• To achieve ultimate conformance with the rules and regulations contained in the GRG and regulatory framework.

Renunciations

• With management approval, renounce the estate, lodge the original Will with the relevant Master and collect the appropriate fee

• Within 1 (one) working day of the estate being allocated to you, contact the family

• Within 5 (five) working days, attend to the renunciation.

• Later Wills and CIF report

• Receive and timeously process all later Wills under instructions from the estate’s manager

• Keep comprehensive notes on Legalease of all contact with interested parties.

• Opening an estate

Customer Centricity

• Provide uncompromising customer service

• Respond to e-mails within 24 hours

• Reply to telephone calls on the same day.

• Capture customer complaints and queries on Customer 1st and provide the client with the reference number.

• Escalate customer complaints to relevant parties.

Preferred Qualification and Experience

Qualifications

• Minimum Matric or equivalent (essential)

• Diploma in Administration of Deceased Estates (preferred)

Experience

• 1-2 Years previous experience in a legal, trust company or financial environment

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

Estates

• Executes tasks within the agreed timelines.

Customer Service / Sales

• Basic overall knowledge and understanding of client service philosophy and techniques

• Providing service in defined customer interactions

• To handle basic client interactions, with focus on understanding and meeting customer needs and expectations

Information Technology

• Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Basic understanding of Legalease as it pertains to loading of information
