Job DescriptionStand for Vulnerable Organization (SVO)/www.svoet.org is an Ethiopian registered civil society, and vibrantly growing local NGO operating in the different parts of the country.
SVO announces this vacancy to employ competent and skilled program Director (PD).
The Program Director (PD) should possess knowledge in key areas of management (particularly program and finance), from setting and implementing strategies to marketing and fundraising.
Potential applicants should have experience and skill of understanding the value of planning strategically and monitoring and evaluating outcomes with an eye on concrete objectives.
Job Requirements
Educational Requirement and experience
BA/BSc. and above in development studies and related field;
Work experience with non-profit making organizations (NGOs) for at least six years;
Proven experience in preparing fundraising proposals, standard report writing for donors and other stakeholders; excellent communication skill with local and international partners ( attaching indicative documents for best performance is encouraged;
Experience in Innovative fundraising through proposal writing and income generating activities;
skill of using log-frame;
Skill in using advanced Information Technology (IT)
Other Requirements
Willingness to work under pressure
Addis Ababa –based / commitment for immediate transfer of his/her family to Addis Ababa if applicable;
At least two references: one from the immediate/administrative supervisor and one from his/her technical advisor.
