Stanbic Bank Senior Manager - Risk & Execution Jobs in Kenya;Responsible for defining and executing frontline BCB governance strategy and operating model, providing leadership and oversight across regulatory, legal and conduct governance; risk and control management; customer lifecycle governance; data governance; assurance and remediation; operational resilience; and governance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Governance Strategy & Function Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop governance team.

  • Establish accountability for risk ownership, control execution, compliance and data quality.

  • Provide consolidated governance oversight and decision support.

  • Prioritise resources based on risks, customer impact and strategic importance.

    Regulatory, Legal & Conduct Governance

  • Oversee implementation of regulatory, legal, compliance and conduct requirements.

  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Financial Crime Risk and specialist functions.

  • Drive adherence to KYC, AML, financial crime, data privacy and conduct requirements.

    Risk Management & Control Environment

  • Implement operational/non‑financial risk frameworks.

  • Coordinate risk event reporting, incident management and remediation.

  • Recommend process improvements and control enhancements.

    Customer Lifecycle & Data Governance

  • Oversee governance across onboarding, servicing, remediation and exit processes.

  • Provide oversight of customer‑related models and dashboards.

  • Drive adoption of enterprise data governance requirements.

    Assurance, Issue & Remediation Management

  • Lead combined assurance approach.

  • Coordinate audit findings, compliance monitoring and regulatory issues.

  • Provide integrated view of assurance coverage and residual risk.

    Strategic Change & Governance Advisory

  • Act as trusted advisor to business leaders.

  • Provide governance oversight for strategic initiatives, new products
    and partnerships.

    Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.

  • Postgraduate/professional certification in governance, risk, compliance or law (advantage).

  • Minimum 7 years’ banking/financial services experience with leadership responsibility.

  • Proven experience implementing governance, risk and compliance frameworks.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and assurance programmes.

  • Understanding of customer lifecycle processes and data quality disciplines.

    Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, risk frameworks and compliance requirements.

  • Advanced risk assessment, control evaluation and issue management.

  • Ability to translate complex requirements into practical actions.

  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

  • Project/change management and execution capabilities.
