Sports Kenya Deputy Director - Internal Audit and Risk Assurance Jobs

Job Description

Provide secretariat support to the Board Audit Committee

Oversee internal controls and monitoring functions related to risk management, compliance, security, ethics, and environmental issues

Establish and implement internal audit systems in line with International Auditing Standards

Implement risk assessment and management guidelines

Provide independent assurance on risk management processes (design and operation)

Assure effectiveness, efficiency, and adequacy of risk controls and management processes

Test the efficacy of risk assessment systems

Monitor and report on the Board’s overall risk profile

Support directorates and departments in risk profiling

Advise on new procedures and organizational changes resulting from audit or consulting engagements

Oversee development and approval of audit programs and testing procedures

Guide special audits, investigations, and reviews to ensure compliance

Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship for departmental staff

Job Requirements

Minimum of 15 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 3 years at supervisory level or in a comparable position

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management (Accounting option), Commerce (Finance/Accounting), or other relevant qualification from a recognized institution

Master’s

degree in Business Administration (Accounting/Finance option) or equivalent field from a recognized institution (added advantage)

Membership with a professional body in good standing (ICPAK, ACCA, CIA, CISA)

Passed Part III of professional exams such as CFA, CPA(F), ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent

Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution

Proficiency in computer applications

Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution\
