  • Field Sales Advisor Employee Name:

    Main Duties, Responsibilities & Deliverables
  • To Sell the company’s products and services, negotiate terms and follow a systematic approach leading to the
    Closing of Sales in the field; and/or facilitate such systematic approach leading to the Closing of Sales in SnS
    Showrooms and Offices.
  • Achieve or overachieve the set Sales Targets to ensure a full contribution to the Field Sales team achieving its
    targets as a whole.
  • Learn and continuously improve knowledge of the Products & Services that the Company sells.
  • To execute field management best practices including monthly sales plans, pre-call planning, pre-arranged
    meetings and post call reviews with each customer contact.
  • To influence potential customers by effectively responding to questions and providing positive, detailed
    information about our Products and Services in Person, by Telephone, Email, Online & all as may be required
    to close a sale.
  • To attend to all potential Customers in the designated region, imparting detailed knowledge of the Company’s
    Products & Services to ensure fair and robust opposition/competition to all our competitors.
  • To support the sales process through both informal and formal, (meetings), interactions with the Sales Team
    and Management to identify, share and improve best practices in the sales process efficiencies; identify &
    reduce deficiencies/weaknesses.
  • To develop, maintain & grow the Customer Database, proactively follow up with all sales inquiries to ensure
    Customer Centricity so that all customers onboard have a positive experience with the Company.
  • To resolve product and service problems by clarifying the client’s complaints, determining the cause of the
    problem, expediting correction or adjustment and conducting follow ups to ensure resolution.
  • To identify & communicate new business opportunities and competitor activity to the Sales Team. To
    recommend potential products and services to management by collecting customer information and
    analyzing customer needs.
  • To make accurate calculations quickly providing timely quotations to the Customer. Also, when required, to
    create detailed proposals, often as part of a bidding process where the format & progression are largely
    dictated
    by the prospective customer.
  • To finalize customer orders and follow up on deliveries and payments being made according to the agreed
    terms.
  • To coordinate with sales and marketing managers in relation to promotional events such as trade fairs
    exhibitions and the like; and represent the company professionally at such fairs as and when may be required.
  • To collect and record relevant information that is of value to the Company & ensure daily and timely reports
    to the Sales Manager detailing prospects, calls made, completed sales and follow up actions & status.
  • Responsible for any and all Actions & Functions not specifically detailed herein; but directly or indirectly
    implied in Sections 2, 3 & 4.

    Desired Education, Previous Experience, Core Skills & Personal Character/Traits
  • A Diploma in Sales & Marketing from a recognised institution Mandatory
    A Degree in Sales & Marketing Highly Desirable
  • Minimum 1-year Field Sales Experience in selling capital goods. Mandatory
  • 2 Years in a similar position within the building & construction
    industry.
  • Any sales experience within the building and construction
    sector, retail, hardware depots etc.
    Highly Desirable
  • Skills Excellent Written & Verbal Communication skills.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with
  • Advanced Driving Skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, competitive, competent and
    focused
  • A Strong Creative & Proactive Outlook
  • Computer Literate – Competent in MS Office
  • Good Relationship & Negotiating Skills
  • Highest Personal Integrity, Strong Work Ethic, Quick Learner,
  • Self-Starter, Hands-On-Can-Do Approach, Team player
