Southrift Hospital A&E Nurse Jobs in Kenya; Southrift Hospital is looking for a professional, goal oriented, organized, reliable and self-driven A&E nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure an
outstanding patient experience while providing the highest quality services.


Duties and Responsibilities.

1) Quickly assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival.

2) Manage basic life support needs and stabilize patients based on nursing standards and protocol ensuring timely escalations.

3) Determine the appropriate level of care and urgency for treatment based on clinical guidelines.

4) Monitor and document vital signs and provide continuous patient care during emergency interventions ensuring timely escalations.

5)Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications.

6) Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care that promotes patients’ physical, mental, and social well-being.

7) Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, ensuring safety and sustainability protocols are upheld.

8)Administer prescribed medication safely, while ensuring responsible use of resources and monitoring for adverse effects.

9) Uphold strict infection prevention and control standards, ensuring environmentally responsible waste management in accordance with MP Shah Hospital’s IPC and sustainability guidelines.

10) Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, preventive health, and the importance of sustainable health practices.

11) Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, supporting sustainable and efficient patient outcomes.

12) Conduct essential nursing procedures, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and resource use.

13) Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications.

14) Participate in emergency drills and disaster preparedness activities to ensure readiness for unexpected events

15) Ensure all medical instruments and supplies are ready, sanitized,and functional.

16) Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the
supervisor.
