Solidarités International Field Coordinator Jobs in South Sudan;The Field Coordinator acts as delegated Country Director for a region, proposing strategy, ensuring implementation, supervising resources, coordinating teams and ensuring security.

Main Challenges

  • Strong coordination skills required at consortium level.

  • Remote areas of intervention.

  • Political restrictions on assistance.

    Priorities for First 2–3 Months

  • Support scaling up of the team.

  • Coach managers.

  • Revise operational modalities with consortium partners.

    Security Context

  • Juba: relatively quiet, curfew 6–10 PM depending on area, limited walking, car movements free in city center.

  • Deployment locations: remote and variable security.

    Profile

    Technical Skills

  • Strong team management and mentoring.

  • Ability to manage high workload and tight deadlines.

  • Good representational skills with INGOs, NNGOs, authorities and donors.

  • Understanding of security management and humanitarian issues (IDPs, camp management, protection, advocacy).

  • Ability to write/edit quality reports in English.

  • Experience in consortiums and Rapid Response Mechanisms preferred.

  • Experience supporting financial management/reporting of ECHO and FCDO projects.

    Transversal Skills

  • Ability to work in multi‑cultural environments with strong cultural sensitivity.

  • Willingness to work in volatile contexts.

  • Initiative, autonomy and problem‑solving in crisis situations.

  • Flexibility, adaptability and stress management.

  • Experience with SI or similar organisations an asset.

  • Prior South Sudan experience an asset.
