Solidarités International Field Coordinator Jobs in South Sudan; The Field Coordinator is responsible for managing projects in Sobat, focused on emergency and early recovery WASH programming and emergency FSL support. Acting as delegated Country Director (CD), the FC proposes regional strategies, ensures compliance with SI procedures, mobilizes resources, coordinates teams, and represents SI with stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership Propose and implement regional strategy aligned with geopolitical and humanitarian context.
Ensure projects comply with SI charter and contractual procedures.
Mobilize material and financial resources for smooth programme operations.
Supervise resource management and team coordination.
Represent SI with authorities, communities, NGOs, and UN agencies.
Security & Access
Ensure staff security in volatile contexts.
Lead engagement with political stakeholders and communities.
Address logistic challenges linked to access and geography.
Establish base presence and communication systems.
Priorities (First 2–3 Months)
Propose clear intervention modality (mobile vs static).
Resume suspended activities.
Develop short-term base strategy.
Security Constraints
Malakal: curfew at 6 pm, movement allowed within humanitarian hub and UNMISS compound.
Volatile situation with risks of open conflict, intra-communal violence, looting, theft, and isolation if river access closes.
Qualifications
Education
Master’s degree in humanitarian/development studies, social sciences, management, or related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in humanitarian sector.
3–4 years in
similar positions.
Technical Skills
Strong team management and mentoring skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Representational skills with INGOs, authorities, and donors.
Strong understanding of security management.
Knowledge of humanitarian issues (IDPs, camp management, protection, advocacy).
Ability to write/edit quality reports in English.
Transversal Skills
Ability to work in multi-cultural environments with strong cultural sensitivity.
Willingness to work in volatile security contexts.
Initiative, autonomy, and decision-making ability.
Strong problem-solving skills in crisis situations.
Flexibility, adaptability, and stress management.
Experience with SI or similar organizations an asset.
Prior experience in South Sudan an asset.
Languages
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
