    Objectives

    The specific objective of this assignment is to produce communication products to show-case Solidaridad’s real-life projects’ best practices, and success stories related to our on-going coffee project in Uganda through this assignment objectives:

  • Produce high-quality video footage for broadcast or non-broadcast production

  • Produce a package of a minimum ten (10) high-level professional photos (PNG) for Solidaridad in each of the project sites

  • Produce video recording as per the guidance provided.

  • Submit to the project team, professional photos, videos, and audios as per the deadline and address feedback for the final submission deadline.

  • From this assignment, develop video stories accompanied by PNG high-quality photos as well as audios drawn from the following field sites:
    The professional videographer matched with photography expertise will be expected to travel to project areas spread across Rombo, Siha and Moshi rural districts to carry out the assignment.

  • The photographer will be accompanied by Solidaridad Coffee Program Manager who has the assignment to capture the programmes in attractive stories.

    Deliverables

    ● High quality video footage for broadcast and non-broadcast in line with the above table shared in the aforementioned objective chapter

    ● A minimum of 10 high-resolution photographs, edited (post-processed), tagged and captioned according to the Solidaridad photography guidelines.

    ● A detailed report on all videos, audios and photography, including locations, names and contact details of all individuals interviewed

    ● Original copies of signed consent forms filled out by/for each interviewee. (N.B. for photos other than portraits, verbal consent will be sufficient)

  • All photography needs to adhere to the Solidaridad photography guidelines and brand manual that will be provided to the photographer.

    Assignment

  • Submit to the project team for this assignment professional photos, videos and audios as per the deadline and address feedback for the final submission deadline.

    Location

    Diverse field locations for the video coverage and photo shooting in Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions as follows:

  • Rombo & Moshi rural districts in Kilimanjaro region

  • Siha district in Arusha region.

  • Time investment

  • Number of field videography and photography days: 5 days

  • 2 days in the field in Rombo, 1 day in Siha and 2 days in Moshi rural district.

  • Assignment Starting date - 2nd November 2020

  • Date of submission of products for review - 9th November 2020

  • Date of submission of final products for approval - 13th November 2020

    Payment

  • The selected professional videographers matched with photography expertise are required to quote a fixed price for the full assignment including preparation, fieldwork, data analysis, writing process, and final editing and reporting.

  • Expenses and arrangements for travel and accommodation related to the fieldwork must be included in the quotation by the consultant as well as all other expenses, (including food and drinks) and assumed to be included in the fixed price. Photographer is responsible for his/her own equipment (e.g. cameras) - including the proper insurance of such items - and software.

  • Fees will be paid in two instalments, 50% upon signing of this contract and 50% upon completion of the assignment. The fee will be paid following receipt of an invoice in Tanzania Shillings by the photographer.

    Qualification, Skills and Experience Required

    ● Outstanding top-notch videography skills matched with photography expertise;

    ● Outstanding video, audio and photo editing skills;

    ● A proven track record (samples of previous similar assignments need to be presented) specifically videos in relation to documenting case studies for projects.

    ● Experience with documenting international development work.

    The technical Proposal should include the following:

  • Organization profile (max 1 page) explaining why they are the most suitable for the work.

    Relevant Experience (max 1 page)

  • Detailed methodology framework with expected deliverables, timelines, man days and financial resources required (3-5 pages).

  • Recent CV’s for the team

  • Company Registration and PIN certificates
