Project Manager Jobs in Kenya

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor complex projects involving several sub-projects, themes, partners and
    agricultural sectors;
  • Provide technical and operations leadership in delivery of the Project’s objectives on fostering
    sustainable and inclusive development;
  • Contribute to the development of Solidaridad’s policies and strategies;
  • Contribute proactively in identify funding opportunities and writing proposals;
  • Coordinate and nature mutual beneficial partnerships with other stakeholders including
    partners, service providers, government departments, local NGO’s and the private sector;
  • Prepare monthly Project reports, budgets and work plans in line with SECAEC’S planning
    process and schedules in a timely basis;
  • In collaboration with monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) team, develop a Project
    monitoring and evaluation process for capturing Project outcomes, impact and lessons
    learned;
  • In consultation with the line manager, act as an ambassador to the project promoting the
    project scope and the work of Solidaridad including hosting visitors, attending meetings as/and when required;
  • Ensure the project contributes to, responds, and complies with all relevant agriculture sector
    policies;
  • Any other duty that may be directed by the line manager.

    Qualifications

  • A university graduate preferably in; Agriculture, Project Management, Business
    Management, Environmental Management or any other related course. Masters degree
    will be an added advantage;
  • Proven work experience (at least 5 years progressive experience)
    in Project and
    Team/People Management;
  • Has the ability to plan and manage project-based work-administrative, organizational and
    operational project work;
  • Ability to effectively lead a team;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade others on the benefits to adopt
    better Farming practices.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and tactfully at different levels, both orally and in writing
  • The ability to manage own time and prioritise with minimal supervision;
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili is required;
