Social Health Authority (SHA) Senior Driver Jobs in Kenya

Qualifications

Nine (9) years cumulative experience three (3) years of which should have been at the grade of Driver I or comparable position in the public or private sector;

KCSE mean grade D (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent;
Valid driving license free from any current endorsements(s);

Passed Occupational Trade Test I for Drivers;

Defensive Driving Certificate from recognized institution;

Refresher Driving course lasting not less than one week from a recognized institution;

Certificate of Good Conduct (renewable after one (1) year);

Refresher course in First Aid lasting not less than one (1) week

Proficiency in computer applications

Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Meet the provision of Chapter Six of Constitution

Responsibilities:

Driving the Authority vehicle as authorized;

Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;

Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;

ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;

Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles;

Preparing and submitting reports on transport when need arises; and

Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein.
