Introduction

We’re looking to hire a Wealth Manager which will build on exciting partnerships with lots of opportunity to create a large portfolio of clients. The candidate will need to be energetic with a sense of entrepreneurialism, a hunger for knowledge and self improvement.

The main purpose of the role is to help clients achieve their financial goals through investment and risk management while managing and ensuring the growth of the partnered distribution base.

Roles & Responsibilities

Building a wealth management book of clients by meetings and leveraging off of partnered distribution relationships.

Thorough monitoring and follow-up of new business implementation processes in order to ensure a seamless client acquisition.

Liaising & detailed communication with clients and partners.

Checking of FICA & FAIS compliance in partnership with an ops team.

Constant maintenance of the investment book.

Fee reconciliations of fees budgeted vs actual fees paid.

Updating of internal weekly pipeline reports.

Compiling and updating portfolio asset allocation spreadsheets.

Compiling, updating of clients’ financial & investment proposals, reports and product summaries

Desired Qualifications, Experience and Personal attributes

BCom / Financial degree or equivalent

CFP (Certified Financial Planning or Chartered Financial Analyst)

Previous experience as Wealth Manager, Financial Planner or similar role

Previous experience in high net worth client interaction (essential), Investment Funds/Management, Sales, Financial Services, Collective Investment Schemes (CIS), JSE and equities are highly desirable

Prepared to travel (Drivers License essential)
