Responsibilities

The Lathe & Milling Machine Operator Must be knowledgeable in:

Machine shop and machine operation such as, Conventional Lathe, Milling Radial drilling. Shaping, Welding Tool & Cutter Grinding.

Mechanical fault finding, checking, rectifying the function of the parts in the Machines

Understanding and Interpreting Mechanical and Isometric drawing.

Use of measuring instruments like Vernier caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge and Overall Evaluation of the Optical instruments.

Doing all type of Fabrication work such as metal, copper, Stainless, Plastic etc..

Designs and adjusts equipment controls to set cutting speeds, depths, and feed rates according to work specifications.

Checking the progress of the machining process and makes all necessary adjustments when it is under performing.

Maintaining and troubleshooting machines before and after the procedure.

Programing the machine in accordance with work specifications.
