Overall Objective of the Job
The Senior Accounts Officer is responsible for providing accounts & finance related services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
The Senior Accounts Officer must comply with established accounting policies and procedures.Ensuring that all accounting entries made are accurate and financial reporting is up to date
Preparation and monitoring of the payroll system
Processing and monitoring of payments and expenditures
Ensuring that staffs are paid in a timely and appropriate manner and that vendor and suppliers are paid within established time limits.
Oversee Accounts & Finance related activities
Update of books of accounts on daily basis by posting with utmost accuracy daily production, Import purchase with landed cost workings, daily sales etc.
Fully responsible for maintaining all statutory compliance for the organization with respect to VAT, W.Tax, Income Tax, Pension as required by local tax authorities.
Closure of books of accounts on monthly basis by passing necessary closing JV’s, provisions, prepaid expenses, booking of interest, accruals etc.
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation and coordination with FM for the Financial/Statutory audit process
Ensuring preparation of daily banking and circulation of Daily Bank Balance to all concerned
Payroll Administration – co-ordination with the HR manager to receive OT for all the employees and to do the necessary to confirm the payroll information to centralised payroll team
Checking of Interest Paid & Interest earned workings on monthly basis
Physical stock counting of all items on monthly basis and stock reconciliation of book stock with the physical stock
Preparation of the monthly bank reconciliation statements.
Ledger Account Reconciliations – Debtors, Creditors.
Ensure Insurance Policy details list is kept up-to-date
Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register in soft form & as per system developed by the management & Depreciation schedules. Oversee the Equipment/Asset register is completed and kept on file and bringing improvement in FA Register system.
Willing to learn and working in a team environment.
Degree in B.Com/Accounting
Minimum working experience of 4 years in manufacturing unit as an Senior Accounts Officer
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of a variety of Accounting Packages e.g. ACCPAC
GAAP, & IFRS knowledge
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & Accounting packages
Basic proficiency with computer applications and programs including email and Microsoft Office.
