To manage, lead, guide and motivate the sales and marketing team to ensure the achievement of sales targets in alignment with the strategic sales plan of the organization and overall business objectives.Develop and implement an annual sales plan in order to achieve sales targets and objectives.
Prepare and implement a collection plan so as to ensure that collection targets are achieved and cash flow is maximized.
Develop and implement a market visit and coverage plan to ensure all markets are covered adequately and product availability is maximized.
Check, analyze and manage the expenses for sales and marketing department to ensure the expenses are controlled within agreed budgeted limits.
Develop and provide training to the sales team on products and sales techniques thereby increasing their product knowledge and sales skills.
Manage and drive the performance of the sales team and monitor the sales incentive plan in order to motivate the performance of the sales team to achieve higher sales and profitability.
Prepare weekly / monthly / Quarterly sales reports in order to ensure the availability of accurate sales information that facilitates sound business decision-making.
Maintain and develop alliances with existing customers to ensure sound relationships that enhance the achievement of sales and profitability objectives.
Develop, monitor and implement a promotional scheme that enhances brand image.
Identify, recommend, manage and drive new product/segment/region development to ensure sustainable and profitable growth in line with business objectives.
Willing to learn and working in a team environment.
BA Degree in Marketing and equivalent
5+ years in a Sales and Marketing function, with at least 2 years relevant plastics industry experience, and at least 1-2 years as a Head of Department.
Knowledge and Skills
Technical knowledge of products.
Excellent knowledge of MS office
High self-motivation and drive.
Confident and determined approach.
Strong interpersonal and Excellent English communication skills. (Speaking and writing )
High dependence on very few, large clients creates the need to identify opportunities to broaden the client base and mitigate against this risk
To build and maintain relationship with key customers which is important to business development
To align sales with production capacity
Price sensitivity of the market is compounded by unfair imports
Keeping track of market, environment and competitor’s activities to retain business share
