Sidian Bank Relationship Officer – Kericho Jobs in Kenya; The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing client relationships to achieve set sales targets and wallet share, ensuring sustained business growth and profitability in the assigned customer segment.
The role involves selling, cross‑selling and delivering excellent service of the bank’s products while building long‑term profitable customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Strategic Input & Planning
Contribute to branch operational plan by preparing and implementing individual business plans.
Formulate initiatives to grow assigned and new business portfolios.
Prepare personal action plans aligned to branch budget.
Business Growth & Development
Full responsibility for product lines and sales development.
Achieve portfolio growth in assets and liabilities.
Drive client recruitment, transactional income and cross‑selling.
Develop new business opportunities and monitor market activities.
Build focused relationship management systems to increase deposits, lending and revenues.
Ensure compliance with Credit Policy, CBK guidelines and Banking Act.
Enhance relationship marketing and update call reports.
Ensure compliance with Environmental Social Management (ESM) policy.
Proactively manage PAR and track performance via MIS system.
Marketing & Brand Management
Create and deliver solutions of value to customers and partners.
Build Sidian Bank brand visibility.
Provide market analysis and competitor insights.
Establish relationships with key clients and influencers.
Support product specialists and sales team in marketing initiatives.
Relationship Management & Customer Experience
Drive customer satisfaction and advocacy.
Achieve CSAT, CES, Engagement and NPS targets.
Coordinate feedback initiatives and advise on improvements.
Engage customers during personal needs to build loyalty.
Minimize attrition by offering solutions and resolving complaints.
Conduct required client visits and forums.
Identify financial and non‑financial needs of HNW clients.
Branch
Operations
Support branch operations during leave or emergencies.
Act as branch custodian when required, adhering to procedures.
Personal Leadership & Development
Set performance objectives with Branch Manager.
Identify personal career path and prepare annual PDP.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
Adhere to policies, dress code and HR procedures.
Close audit deficiencies within timelines.
Achieve required training hours.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with KYC, portfolio management and debt monitoring policies.
Decision‑Making Authority
Customer onboarding.
Portfolio management.
Credit appraisal and debt monitoring.
KYC compliance.
Academic Background
University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline.
Work Experience
Minimum 4 years’ experience in retail/commercial banking.
At least 2 years’ sales experience.
Skills & Competencies
Sound knowledge of Retail Banking/SME products and processes.
Strong understanding of retail market, competitors and regulatory framework.
Leadership, marketing, sales and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Performance management and motivational skills.
Relationship building and stakeholder management.
Strong planning, analytical and decision‑making skills.
Project management and lateral thinking.
Professional Certification
Diploma in Banking – AKIB (advantageous).
