Sidian Bank Relationship Manager – Rift Valley Region Jobs in Kenya;The jobholder is responsible for managing client relationships to achieve set sales targets and wallet share, ensuring sustained business growth and profitability in the assigned customer segment. The role involves selling, cross/upselling and delivering excellent service of the bank’s products while building long‑term profitable customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Strategic Input & Planning
Contribute to branch operational plan by preparing and implementing an individual business plan aligned to growth objectives.
Formulate and implement initiatives to increase new business and share of wallet from existing clients.
Prepare personal action plans contributing to the overall branch budget.
Business Growth & Development
Take full responsibility for product lines, sales and business development for assigned portfolio.
Achieve growth in assets and liabilities, ensuring income, quality and portfolio targets are met.
Drive client recruitment, transactional income and cross‑selling of products.
Develop new business opportunities and monitor activities in line with strategic plans.
Expand customer base and enhance relationship management systems to generate deposits, lending and revenues.
Ensure compliance with Credit Policy, CBK guidelines and Banking Act provisions.
Leverage trusted advisor position to proactively manage PAR.
Marketing & Brand Management
Build Sidian Bank brand visibility as an enterprise bank.
Provide direction based on market analysis of consumer trends and competitor offerings.
Establish relationships with key clients and influencers in the local area.
Support product specialists and sales team in marketing initiatives.
Relationship Management & Customer Experience
Drive customer satisfaction, advocacy and loyalty to achieve CSAT, CES, CES and NPS targets.
Coordinate initiatives to gather customer feedback and advise on improvements.
Engage customers during times of need to strengthen bonds and minimize attrition.
Conduct financial needs analysis for HNW clients.
Branch Operations
Support branch operations
during leave or emergencies.
Act as branch custodian when required, adhering to opening and cash procedures.
Personal Leadership & Development
Set performance objectives with Branch Manager and provide feedback through appraisals.
Identify personal career path and prepare annual PDP.
Adhere to policies, dress code, HR procedures and grievance handling.
Ensure closure of audit deficiencies within timelines.
Achieve required learning/training hours through e‑learning and internal training.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with ESM policy and procedures in daily branch business.
Utilize MIS system for performance tracking and reporting.
Decision‑Making Authority
Customer onboarding as per policy.
Portfolio management as per policy.
Credit appraisal and debt monitoring for PAR/NPL accounts.
KYC compliance as per policy.
Academic Background
University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline.
Work Experience
At least 7 years’ experience in retail/commercial banking, including 4 years in sales.
Skills & Competencies
Sound knowledge of Retail Banking/SME products and processes.
Strong understanding of CBK regulatory framework.
Leadership, marketing, sales and management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills.
Relationship building and stakeholder management.
Analytical, decision‑making, project management and lateral thinking skills.
Professional Certification
Diploma in Banking – AKIB (added advantage).
