Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: - facilitating in disposal of unserviceable stores; collecting data for preparing procurement plans; participating in sourcing for suppliers; undertaking stock control, stock taking and stock audit; implementing existing supplies regulations,
procedures and system; compiling procurement plans; sourcing for suppliers; conducting stock control, stock taking and stock audit; and Implementation of e-procurement strategies.

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

served in the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer II or in a comparable position for a minimum period of four (4) years;

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Procurement or its equivalent qualification from a recognized
institution;

Full membership to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies, Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or any other recognized institution; and

Certificate in computer application skills and demonstrate proficiency in computer use and applications.
