Terms of Service:

3 year contract or Permanent and Pensionable depending on age of candidate

Responsibilities

An officer at this level will work under the supervision of an experienced officer.

Specific duties will involve the inspection, and maintenance of electrical installations in Public buildings and Government Quarters; testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire-detection equipment, cookers, water-heaters and general domestic appliances; inspection and maintenance of electrical controls in power generating plants and machinery; testing and maintenance of low and medium voltage distribution systems, repair and maintenance of electrical installations and controls related to catering equipment, lifts, boilers, cookers, water-heaters and general domestic appliances.

Requirements

A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician Certificate Part III or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and

Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Additional Requirements

All applicants are expected to attach copies of the following additional documents

Tax compliance certificates

Clearance from HELB where necessary

Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission

Clearance from the CRB.

Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
