Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translate resource mobilization strategy and plans into action

  • Prescribe, lead and conduct market research and marketing initiatives to assess donor priorities and identify opportunities for resource mobilization

  • Establish systems for identification and response to calls with templates to manage the activities of resource mobilization.

  • Coordinate the development and writing of highly competitive resource mobilization proposals and contribute to proposal

  • Develop and ensure quality standards for proposals and concept notes and ensure achievement

  • Develop and maintain database of donors, project concept notes and project proposals

  • Develop and maintain an effective project tracking system and ensure all donor funding requirements are met in any fundraising document

  • Producing contents for communication materials in support of fundraising such as brochures, appeals, newsletters, Organizational capability statement and annual reports and their reviews

  • Developing and coordinating online/web-based resource mobilization initiatives

  • Managing resource mobilization functions and activities and supporting the project manager in managing donor relationships

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Kenyan Citizen

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology/ Political Science/ International Development or Social sciences
    and/or business administration, public administration or related field from an institution recognized in Kenya

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage

  • Specialized knowledge of international development policies, international affairs, populations and related activities is desirable.

  • Background in planning, reporting and resource mobilization preferable.

  • 5 years progressively relevant experience;

  • Strong analytical ability and professional experience in representing an organization;

  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills are necessary in this position.

  • Computer skills are necessary;
