Purpose of the Job

• The purpose of the Senior Master Data Specialist role is to control allmaster data governance processes within the Meat Markets, including promoting data quality and approving master data-related changes.The role supports operations by implementing, monitoring, and analysing master data, key data, and master relationship data within the Meat Markets, overseeing and ensuring master data integrity across systems.

The role interacts with various stakeholders across the business to establish, maintain and drive data processes and flow that support consistent data quality, compliance and delivery of business objectives.

Job Objectives

Provide oversight for master data management including controlling master data rules and application to support business processes, promoting data quality, executing data maintenance and analysis and implementing data standards, quality processes and best practices.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with relevant and demonstrable experience – (essential).

• Degree or Diploma in Data Management, Information Science, or a related field – (preferred).

Experience

• + 4years experience in a Senior Master Data Specialist or equivalent role, with demonstrable experience overseeing master data governance processes, along with strong knowledge inmaster

data management, data management principles, practices and systemsand working with large datasets – (essential).

• Previous experience in a butchery / meat market or similar environment combined with knowledge of meat cuts, ranging and import regulatory requirements – (essential).

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of international product trends, international economy and trade agreements, and agriculture volumes per country/continents - (essential)

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, and Excel – (essential)

• Exposure to and an understanding of corporate and retail-oriented environment - (preferred)
