Purpose of the Job

  • To assist the pharmacist in dispensing and performing pharmacy-related administrative duties.

    Key Performance Areas include:

  • Stock control

  • Dispensing (under supervision of a pharmacist)

  • Administration.

  • Housekeeping.

  • Frontshop service.

    Qualifications

    Essential:

  • Qualified as post basic pharmacist assistant.

  • Registered as a post basic pharmacist assistant with pharmacy council.

    Experience

  • Two years’ experience as a trainee in a pharmacy.

    Knowledge and Skills

    Essential:

  • Dispensing knowledge.

  • Knowledge of dispensing systems and ordering systems.

    Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Retail/ FMCG operations.
