Shining Hope For Communities Public School Partnership Officer Jobs in Kenya; Support effective implementation of SHOFCO’s Education Expansion strategy in public primary schools.
Coordinate school‑level delivery of interventions to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes by strengthening teacher practice, EdTech use, school leadership, parental engagement, learner engagement, and safety.
Oversee operational implementation of interventions and manage coordinators on the ground.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Program Planning, Design and Implementation
Collaborate with PSP Manager to co‑design, plan, and roll out interventions.
Lead implementation of strategic areas: Teacher PD, EdTech, School Leadership, Parental Engagement, Learner Support, Safeguarding.
Support teacher PD activities including holiday sessions, lesson observations, feedback, coaching, and communities of practice.
Collaborate with SHOFCO departments (WASH, Gender, Libraries) for integrated delivery.
Coordinate parental engagement activities and dissemination of EdTech tools.
Coordinate EdTech interventions in high‑touch schools.
Roll out nudges strategies and support for learners at risk of dropout.
Stakeholder Engagement
Support PSP Manager in building partnerships with county, sub‑county, and school‑level stakeholders.
Map government, community, and partner initiatives to strengthen collaboration.
Team Management and Support
Line manage PSP Coordinators for high‑quality field implementation.
Set clear work plans, targets, and expectations.
Provide coaching, supervision, feedback, and performance reviews.
Ensure coordinators maintain strong relationships with schools and stakeholders.
Review reports, visit notes, trackers, and data.
Resolve field challenges and
escalate risks to PSP Manager.
Administration and Logistics
Lead project requisitions in SAP system.
Coordinate logistics for school activities, meetings, and trainings.
Maintain organized documentation for plans, attendance, procurement, and reports.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Reporting
Track progress against work plans and indicators.
Support baseline, midline, endline, and assessments.
Ensure coordinators maintain accurate records of PD, coaching, parent meetings, learner clubs, EdTech use, nudges, and child protection.
Analyze data and provide insights for decision‑making.
Document lessons learned, success stories, risks, and best practices.
Representation and Communication
Support PSP Manager in representing SHOFCO in meetings and forums.
Prepare talking points, updates, and briefing notes.
Communicate SHOFCO’s education strategy clearly to stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Strong understanding of Kenya’s public education system.
Knowledge of literacy and numeracy programming.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder interventions.
Strong planning, logistics, and administration skills.
Ability to analyze data and improve implementation.
Strong supervision and team management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data collection tools.
