Shining Hope For Communities Public School Partnership Coordinator (PSP) Jobs in Kenya; Coordinate and support field‑level implementation of public‑school partnership interventions in assigned schools.
Ensure activities are delivered on time, relationships are maintained, data is accurately collected, and interventions contribute to improved teaching and learning outcomes.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
School Partnership Coordination
Serve as primary point of contact for assigned partner schools.
Build strong relationships with Heads of Institutions, Deputies, teachers, parents, Boards of Management, and stakeholders.
Support PSP Officer in maintaining relationships with sub‑county officials, CSOs, and QAOs.
Coordinate school‑level program activities for smooth implementation.
Support school buy‑in processes by communicating plans, expectations, and outcomes.
Identify challenges and report promptly to PSP Officer.
Maintain regular school visit schedules and document updates, risks, and follow‑up actions.
Teacher Professional Development and Coaching Support
Support planning, mobilization, and logistics for teacher development sessions.
Participate in assessments of schools, teachers, and learners.
Undertake coaching, lesson observations, feedback sessions, and peer learning meetings.
Support teachers to apply literacy and numeracy strategies.
Facilitate Communities of Practice.
Follow up on agreed actions from trainings and coaching.
Collect and document data to support evidence‑based decision making.
Maintain accurate records of teacher participation and coaching activities.
Parental Empowerment and Engagement
Support schools to organize parent meetings and engagement activities.
Collaborate with SUN and stakeholders on parental initiatives.
Support dissemination of EdTech tools and resources to parents.
Document parent participation, feedback, and barriers.
Support engagement of Boards of Management through Heads of Institutions.
Learner Engagement and Support
Support establishment and monitoring of learner clubs (reading, ROC, WASH, etc.).
Coordinate with SHOFCO libraries to
increase learner access to reading opportunities.
Identify learners at risk of absenteeism/dropout and support interventions.
Maintain records of learners reached through clubs and support activities.
EdTech and ICT Support
Support rollout and adoption of EdTech tools among teachers, learners, and parents.
Assist with orientation of teachers, ICT champions, parents, and learners.
Follow up on teacher use of EdTech tools and document adoption.
Support ICT lab activities in high‑touch schools.
Knowledge Management
Maintain organized repository of program tools, materials, and resources.
Document lessons learned, case studies, challenges, and innovations.
Ensure evidence of success is available for reporting and advocacy.
Collect and safely store program evidence (photos, videos, testimonials) per safeguarding standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in education programming or school‑based implementation.
Experience working with public schools, teachers, learners, and parents.
Strong understanding of school operations and public education context in Kenya.
Experience supporting teacher professional development.
Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
Proficiency in digital tools for data collection and reporting.
Ability to work independently in the field and meet deadlines.
Understanding of child safeguarding and protection principles.
Preferred
Teaching experience in primary school.
Experience coaching teachers or facilitating professional learning.
Experience with literacy and numeracy interventions.
Familiarity with adult learning principles.
Experience supporting EdTech adoption.
Experience working with government education officials.
Experience documenting lessons learned and success stories.
