Shining Hope For Communities Music Teacher Jobs in Kenya;To be responsible for creating a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth, ultimately developing strong, ethical, community‑centered female leaders of tomorrow.
Responsibilities
Teach music to students and nurture talent through training in musical instruments and participation in music and drama festivals
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
Provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt curriculum to student needs
Apply varied instructional strategies and translate lesson plans into engaging learning experiences
Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere
Evaluate students’ academic and social growth; prepare progress reports and maintain records
Communicate with parents on student progress and interpret the school program
Coordinate with professional staff to support students’ health, attitude, and learning challenges
Create an effective classroom environment for learning
Select and requisition books and instructional aids; maintain inventory records
Supervise students in out‑of‑classroom activities during the school day
Administer standardized tests in line with school and national programs
Participate in
curriculum development and faculty committees
Sponsor student activities and co‑curricular events
Attend staff meetings, seminars, and school functions
Carry out supervisory duties and assist with out‑of‑school activities as required
Ensure prompt student attendance and report absences to the Principal or Deputy Principal
Uphold professional image and dress appropriately as a teacher
Perform other duties as directed by senior management
Qualifications
Academic
Diploma or Degree in Education (Music) or P1 certificate with passion and ability to teach Music
Knowledge in Competency‑Based Education (CBE) and Creative Arts (advantageous)
Professional
Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
