Shabelle Bank SC Senior Internal Auditor Officer Jobs in Ethiopia;
The Senior Internal Auditor Officer will conduct advanced internal audits to ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.

The role supports risk‑based control mechanisms, strengthens internal controls, and provides assurance on operational efficiency and financial integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute detailed audit engagements for branches and head office departments

  • Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes

  • Review and assess accuracy of financial records, reports, and supporting documents

  • Identify and report control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and risk exposures

  • Prepare risk‑based audit plans, set scope and objectives, and perform sample testing

  • Document audit findings with proper evidence, including working papers and summaries

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with clear observations and actionable recommendations

  • Conduct follow‑up audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented

  • Support investigations into suspected fraud, misappropriation, or policy violations

  • Monitor regulatory compliance and advise on corrective actions

  • Maintain audit documentation and ensure confidentiality of sensitive data

    Qualifications

    Education

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, or other business‑related fields

    Experience

  • 3–5 years of banking experience, including at least 2 years as an Internal Audit Officer
