Our client, a leading ground handling company with operations in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi) and Moi International Airport (Mombasa) is seeking to recruit the following position:

Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls, and protecting the organization value by keeping information confidential.
  • Meeting financial standards by providing accounting department annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities
  • Preparation of management accounts, budget
    General accounting functions to include cash management/reconciliation, financial analysis and reporting balance sheet management.
  • Preparation of organization financial statements & reports , including annual reports
    Preparation of asset and liability reports
    Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Credit control and Debt collection
  • Monthly Reconciliation to identify and correct financial discrepancies
  • Ensure Compliance s statutory requirements including payment
  • Cash flow management
  • Ensuring and verifying cheque amounts against invoices, budgets, authorizing payments,

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s
    Degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
  • 5+ years’ experience in senior accounting role
    CPA-K, ACCA qualification
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills a must
  • Experience in Excel, Outlook and Work.
