  • A private primary education provider that exists to nurture globally competitive students through unique programs and valuable experiences, is recruiting a Head Teacher to join their school.

    Job Summary:

  • Detail-oriented with sight of the bigger picture. Has the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities and is committed to high-quality education.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help shape and uphold the vision of the school

  • Implement actions that improve the school and the quality of education (e.g. building renovations, new guidelines for students, new subjects)

  • Have a hand in the creation of the school curriculum

  • Understand and review the way the school and all its departments function.

  • Prepare and submit drafts of proposals, financial reports, and other documents.

  • Manage budgets, logistics, resources and events or meetings

  • Conduct research on professional and ongoing learning workshops and share these opportunities with teachers and other staff.

  • Attend meetings and schedule appropriate staff team building sessions.

  • Keep track of student successes and failures and prepare appropriate interventions.

  • Manage school security, caretakers, and other ground staff.

  • Assist with hiring, recruitment, training, and onboarding of new teachers.

  • Establish and maintain good relationships with parents, students, and staff at other schools.

  • Handle scheduling, record-keeping and
    reporting

  • Ensure the school complies with relevant laws and regulations

  • Develop and run educational programs

  • Resolve conflicts and other issues

  • Communicate with parents, regulatory bodies and the public

    Key Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.

  • Relevant license and certification.

  • Proven experience as a School Administrator.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, management, and communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to remain professional.

  • Experience as an educator is a plus.

  • Knowledge of administrative processes of schools.

  • Ability to use computers (e.g. MS Office) and education management systems.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Outstanding organizational ability.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

  • Good judgment and decision-making aptitude.
