Scholarships for Local Universities

Just a thought...Thanks a lot for your efforts to bring the information so close to us. You are doing good work!

Mine is not much of adding the ideas but a little insight...check this out:

I do not know how possible this is...taking my own example, am currently working as an intern in an NGO in Kenya. I signed a 1-year contract after graduating with a University of Nairobi degree last year. I would not leave the Organisation till the contract is done...its logical, isn't it?

I would love to get a scholarship where I could go for the Post-graduate classes part-time as well as go to work.

I have not seen a Scholarship offered to study in Kenyan Universities, may be I haven't taken time to go over all the scholarships.

Is there an easier way of tracking them down?
I am sure a lot other people would benefit from this.

Please assist me if you can.

Thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,
Esther Muthoni.

There are very many scholarships for studying in African universities in this website. These have been appropriately categorized.

Please take your time on the site and am sure you will find a number.

Joe.

Ester you are correct it is difficult to have all informations regarding scholarships especially if one is working in rural areas where even news papers never reach. You are lucky that you can have some information about it from Joe. But also you can visit some embassies in your country, they sometime offer scholarships as some embassies are doing here in Tanzania. Wishing you success in tracing local scholarships.
