SBM Bank Credit Analyst - Asset Finance Jobs in Kenya


SBM Bank Credit Analyst - Asset Finance Jobs in Kenya;Responsible for analysis of Asset Finance proposals and management of assigned credit risks to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Approval (80%)

  • Analyse loan applications and documents for compliance with Asset Finance product parameters, credit policies, and underwriting standards.

  • Execute credit underwriting in line with bank strategy, ensuring timely review of applications within turnaround times.

  • Conduct World Check screening and escalate adverse mentions to Compliance.

  • Monitor customer account conduct and transaction risk profiles.

  • Manage credit risk exposures within established appetite and standards.

  • Evaluate risks associated with transactions, products, securities, and borrowers.

    Asset Finance Product & Portfolio Management (10%)

  • Review and assess Asset Finance products and portfolio.

  • Recommend updates and changes to product offerings.

    Digitalisation & Product Enhancement (10%)

  • Participate in product digitalisation and system enhancement initiatives.

  • Contribute to review of product manuals and processes.

    Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Academic Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) from a recognized institution.

  • Professional Minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a loan appraisal officer or related position.

  • Professional Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Asset Finance.

  • Professional Strong understanding of credit risks, financial analysis, and credit assessment techniques.

  • Professional Excellent presentation, analytical, communication, and planning skills.

  • Professional Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and manage key relationships.
