Save the Children Specialist, Online Learning Jobs in Kenya
Role Purpose
Design and deliver engaging, high‑quality digital learning solutions that support personal effectiveness, compliance, and core skills across country offices and global teams.
Focus on online learning design and development, creating impactful, user‑centred digital learning experiences.
Support broader learning initiatives where needed.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand learning needs, provide expert guidance, and support teams in designing and delivering effective learning solutions.
Champion cultural competence by embedding awareness, understanding, and respect for diverse perspectives within digital and blended learning.
Use data and insights to continuously evolve and improve learning offerings in line with organisational needs.
Principal Accountabilities
Design and develop engaging, high‑quality online learning solutions using tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline.
Apply best practice in instructional design, digital learning, user experience, and accessibility.
Collaborate with People Partners and stakeholders to scope requirements and co‑create digital learning solutions.
Manage end‑to‑end development of e‑learning content (storyboarding, design, build, testing, updates).
Support and upskill colleagues in e‑learning design and development, providing guidance on tools and standards.
Support blended learning initiatives, integrating e‑learning with other formats.
Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion principles within all digital learning solutions.
Use data, learner analytics, and feedback to evaluate and improve e‑learning solutions.
Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on adoption and
implementation of e‑learning.
Experience and Skills – Essential
Significant experience in designing innovative, high‑quality blended learning interventions.
Experience across the full lifecycle of learning (analysis, design, evaluation).
Considerable experience using learning authoring tools.
Experience incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into learning and development.
Ability to integrate cultural sensitivity and competence into learning initiatives.
Strong collaboration skills to foster inclusive learning culture.
Competence in using data and insights to evolve learning offerings.
Creative problem‑solving skills aligned with Save the Children’s mission.
Proven stakeholder engagement experience.
Skilled in managing multiple L&D projects from inception to completion.
Desirable
Experience creating animation and interactive elements within e‑learning.
Bilingual – English with Arabic, French, or Spanish.
