Job Description

    Scope of the work

  • In recognition to the scope, variations and complexity of interventions implemented in all the sectors, the review process has identified key major areas (topics) per sectors.

  • These key focus topics in education will include construction, learning environment, enrollment and attendance, and child participation, teachers capacity development, literacy boost, coordination and collaboration. The Child protection component will focus on child protection mechanisms, appropriate care and services for vulnerable children, yichalal radio listening group, and roles of community structures.

  • The child right governance part will also focus on implementation of child rights, child participation, and advocacy, budget allocation efforts and achievements.

  • The key questions are presented in the comprehensive terms of reference that will be provided to the consultant.

    Expected Deliverables

  • The consultants are expected to produce a comprehensive report based on the scope of the work and the research questions.

  • One hard copy
    of the report and its soft copy and the data collected in SPSS will be provided to Save the Children in Ethiopia.

    Job Requirements

  • The consultant team should consist of education, Child protection and Child right experts.

    They need to have:

  • Minimum of five years of experience working in the indicated areas;

  • Extensive experience in research and documentation work.

  • Excellent technical capacity to ensure smooth and high quality reports;

    Time frame

  • The data collection, analysis report writing should not take more than one month and fifteen days.

  • The draft shall be submitted to the Save the Children according to the agreed work plan that would be indicated in the agreement to be signed.

  • And final submission of the work, should not exceed more than one month and twenty days.

    How to Apply

  • Save the Children invites interested applicants who fulfill the above criteria to apply to HR, Save the Children International Office located around Old Airport, Near Bisrate Gabriel Church at Dire Building) within 5 consecutive days starting from November 04 through 10, 2020.

  • Those who satisfy the criteria indicated above will be considered for selection and those who win the offer shall be awarded the jobs. Applicants are expected to submit their copy of TIN number and Trade License. SC shall withhold 2% if the individual consultants have a TIN number & License or 30% where he/she does not have a TIN number & License as per the Ethiopian Tax legislation.

  • Technical and financial proposals should be submitted separately in a sealed envelope on or before November 12, 2020 at 4:30pm in person.
