Role Purpose

  • The Objective of this job is to provide HR Support to all projects in SCI Dollo office.

  • The HR Officer is responsible for provision of Support services to all projects under Dollo Field Office

    Key Areas Accountability

    Staff Management

  • Supervision of HR support staff namely, HR Assistants.

  • Ensuring that supervisees are performing their tasks in accordance to their Job
  • Descriptions and SCI Policies and Procedures & update their JDs as necessary

  • Conducting Mid & Annual Performance appraisals for Subordinates

  • Identifying training needs of the subordinates and all the field office staff

    Human Resource Management

  • In consultation with the human resource coordinator, place vacancy announcements to the local newspapers or public notice boards and distributing to the Field office staff

  • Prepare contracts for all new selected staff, temporary staff and casuals by ensuring the FO authority limit
    Ensuring that all staff separations are done as
  • per the policies and procedures

  • Ensuring that all separating staffs are paid their separation benefits.

  • Ensuring that the monthly Staff list is always updated and forward it to human resource coordinator for review and submit it to the Country Office HR Department

  • Follow up and record the medical utilization for the staff as per their medical limits and approve

  • Attend Staff Grievances

  • As a member of panel committee, arrange the necessary documentations and submit to the CO HRD

  • Ensure staff contract extension status is requested before 45 days as a reminder to the concerned program managers/coordinators and HRD Country Office.

  • Conduct Quarterly Refresher training to all staff

  • Look for Staff development opportunities.
    In consultation with your supervisor, conduct Field Visits to the Satellite Offices once a month to identify the HR gaps.

    Job Requirements

    Academic Qualification

  • College diploma in relevant field in Human Resource Management, Business Management or equivalent or related field with 2 years of related experience with a history of increasing roles and responsibilities as well as prior supervisory experience.

    Work Experience

  • 2 years relevant experience

    Skills/Ability required

  • General Management/Administration Skills,
    Computer Skill: MS Word, MS EXCEL, MS ACCESS

  • Good Written & spoken English;

  • Good Communication Skill;

  • Good Human Relations;
